The CNC Training Team has been traveling across the U.S., sharing knowledge and updates on flood adjusting with our traveling Flood Ready classes. Our trainers have provided this free training to hundreds of adjusters, sharing the tools and knowledge to succeed in the flood adjusting industry. Check out what our Flood Training Manager, Todd Isenburg, says about the experience!
1. Can you explain in one sentence what is CNC’s Flood Ready training?
CNC’S Flood Ready training is the process we’ve established to be the essential training for the future of handling flood claims. This has been developed over several months and years of experience from multiple members of our flood team, so adjusters know they are getting quality training.
2. How many cities are you hoping to have visited by the end of this year’s Flood Ready training program?
This was our first year and we’ve done so many cities across the country already. By the end of it, 12 cities will be visited before the heavy portion of flood season starts. We are also looking at having some on-site training in Mobile at our training house.
3. Is the Flood Ready training program only for established flood adjusters, and if so, why?
The Flood Ready training was created to reach those experienced adjusters in flood and help them understand new processes. We also tried to reach those experienced adjusters in property with four or more years who might want to move over to Flood.
4. What are some of the ‘lightbulb’ moments you’ve seen adjusters have in this class?
It’s amazing to see when an adjuster genuinely picks up a new skill or concept. That’s what it’s all about. You might be an adjuster for years, but it’s a constant learning process. The hands-on training and stepping into something new and understanding it enough to want more is a constant ‘lightbulb’ moment that I see.
5. If a flood adjuster could not make it to this training, what’s one big piece of advice you could give them?
Come to the next one available. I always say a Flood adjuster still has something to learn. Nobody knows it all, and that’s okay. I have adjusters that have come to Level 2 training and Level 3 training. They learn something new each time. I’m here to help them understand to the fullest of their ability and get the job done correctly.
6. Will this training be offered again?
We’re actively evaluating what we did this year and how we can make it even better and more exciting for the adjusters. I’d love to extend it to a four-day training, and be able to have it ready for CE credits and tie it in with the FEMA certifications.
